CORSAIR
The first thing that popped into my head when I read “Classic” was Corsair.
If you were to know anything about me, you’d know that I love 2 things in this world more than myself and those two things are awesome Facial Hair, and Space Pirates… and who has two thumbs and fits both of those categories… Corsair. Now before you go and criticize me for really liking most of my characters for pure aesthetics, there’s a lot more to this guy than an awesome 70’s porn ‘stache and a great job title. Corsair has this awesome Harrison Ford vibe to him. He’s got this cool, calm rugged charm to him. He’s skilled… I mean he has to be, he survived an entire intergalactic war that he randomly became apart of with no real powers to match the foes he was up against. He’s got some sort of real fire ant whimsy… He’s got muchness.
Other reasons to love Corsair include. Cool Suit, the Starjammer and the Starjammers. Hookin up with Hepzibah, and he’s got illegitimate super powered sons… The illegitimate part isn’t that cool… but you know, it’s gotta be tough to be a good parent and be a Space Pirate. Also, has anyone else ever picked up the comparison between Corsair and Aladdin’s Dad, Cassim?

Yeah thats right Lockheed the little purple dragon. He’s cute he’s a dragon, he kicks butt and he’s got a lot of personality. Can’t help but love him. But can’t forget the fact that he has a long term attachment and connection to Kitty Pryde. A connection that has earned her trust for many years… and being that she is my favorite Marvel character… I can’t help but be a bit jealous.
Not to mention a fact that the image here brings up. Lockheed being trusted has seen details of Kitty’s life that not even the kings of perverts can come up with… super jealous.
Beth is going to hit me for that one…

I LOVE SHIELD.
SHIELD has standard issue flying cars. That’s pretty bad ass.. SHIELD runs off of Hellicarriers. Badass. SHIELD is one of the longest running and more mysterious organizations, with history going as far back as ancient Egypt, with ties that some how lead to DaVinci… what?
More importantly in every important Marvel event, SHIELD was there. SHIELD is everywhere and has been apart of everything, with everyone. Fuck SHIELD is responsible for the taking down of Godzilla!
SHIELD has also had a PLETHERA of awesome agents at it’s disposal. Including Shadowcat, Spider Woman, and Black Widow.. ( of course there is many more but those happen to be some of my favorite characters…)
I will admit, SHIELD can sort of get in the way, sometimes it can be a nuisance but SHIELD makes shit happen.
F - is for Fury by =Enymy
And then there’s Nick Fury. I’ll be the first to admit that in reality my love or fascination to SHIELD is due largely in fact that I have a huge man crush on Nick Fury. But it’s safe to say that when you think SHIELD, you think Nick Fury. The guy has been representing SHIELD for years, even now that he’s no longer the Director of SHIELD, he still dawns the colors and he still carries the same mindset. A mindset that puts him behind the scenes of everything going on. He’s cunning, and quietly brilliant… and most importantly he’s always right.
Nick Fury, is plainly just a total Badass. And he, just like SHIELD, has been around for ages…
that demands respect.
All that being said. I have to admit a particular Bias… I’ve only gone to Comic-Con dressed up twice (so far) and both times It had to be Fury. And I have to admit that my first draw to him was his scruffy face, his assortment of pockets.. and his fucking awesome eyepatch! Because of him I can’t stop loving the eye patch look, ((a look that looks especially hot on girls (I.E. Molotov Cocktease)). So yeah… sorry?

I realize that other than the Avengers, the X-Men is a very typical team choice…. but how could I help it? I mean it’s the Astonishing, Legendary, Uncanny fucking X-Men! The X-Men house some of the most popular Marvel characters to date. Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Emma Frost, X-23, Gambit, Rogue just to name a few… Beast. They’ve fought not only Super Villains, and unearthly beasts, but aliens, magical creatures, time travelers, other dimensions, and even bigotry and oppression.
This mutant team fight along side anyone, on any side doing what they feel is right. They aren’t funded by government, and they aren’t selected. They choose to fight, they train to fight, and they fund themselves. For Love, For family, or for just plain goodness. The X-Men to me represent all that is good in the human (or super-human) heart.

In addition, what other team really acts as a family? The X-Men combine the most eclectic and international arrangement of people and unite them with one common goal. To live.
And even if your a mutant hater, or your an Avenger lover, there is still at least one member of the X-Men you just can’t help but love. If it’s for their long line of Baddasses, their beautiful Collection of intelligent and powerful ladies, or… whatever the hell you’d call whatever Deadpool is…(he’s been an X-Men, what of it) You can’t deny that the X-Men have something for everyone.

Magistrate of the Shi’ar Empire.
There has always been something odd and cool about the Shi’ar, I don’t know if it was just the fact that they were egyptian like space people, or the fact that they had “feather” hair. Reguardless I had always felt that Lilandra never got a real shot to shine… Either she had Royal duties to attend to, or a throne to fight for, so I guess that makes it difficult to really do much else.
I also really thought it was funny that basically her and Charles had a long distance internet relationship through their brains… I have to say I’m pretty jealous of him though… He hooked up with a super hot space chick! Am I wrong for thinking that?

Clearly, there are a lot of beautiful women in the Marvel universe. Emma Frost, Black Widow, Jean Grey… I mean it’s just the way it is. But no matter the situation the first person that comes to mind in the matter of Marvel Sex Appeal, it’s always been Black Cat. From the first time I saw her on the 90’s Spider-Man Cartoon show, there was something very special about this vixen that could not be ignored or forgotten.

As far as favorite Marvel characters are concerned my favorites have always drifted from team to team, but one thing always remained true… I LOOOVE Shadowcat.
Her power has so much potential and yet its held at bay by a (semi) naive little Jewish girl. And yet though her stature is small, her brains, charisma and tenacity really make her a force to be reckoned with.
However, I think the reason I love her to this day is because I’ve always had a small crush on Kitty Pryde, ever since the first time I found out she existed… Crushes on fictional characters? I think I get them a lot.
